Golf in Santa Susana

Santa Susana is an area in the Santa Susana Mountains at the junction of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, in the pass area where the mountains separate the San Fernando Valley from the Simi Valley. The community occupies foothill and mountain terrain at this county border zone. The Santa Susana Pass provides the main road connection between the valleys. The former Santa Susana Field Laboratory, a rocket engine testing facility operated by NASA and Rocketdyne, is in the hills above the Simi Valley and has been subject to ongoing environmental remediation. The area is primarily residential and semi-rural in character, with the mountain pass terrain providing a distinctive setting between the two major valleys.
