Golf in Sylmar

Sylmar is a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles in the northwest San Fernando Valley, north of the main valley corridor at the base of the Santa Susana Mountains. The neighborhood occupies the northern end of the San Fernando Valley, where the flat valley terrain meets the San Gabriel and Santa Susana mountain fronts. Los Angeles's northwest valley neighborhoods, including Sylmar and Granada Hills, are in the residential zone of the upper valley. The neighborhood has commercial areas along San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard. The UCLA-affiliated medical center in Sylmar is a major hospital serving the northwest valley. Interstate 210 and Interstate 5 provide freeway access through the area. The neighborhood has a large Latino population consistent with the demographics of the northwest San Fernando Valley.
