Golf in Vandenberg Village

Vandenberg Village is an unincorporated community in Santa Barbara County, northeast of Lompoc in the coastal mountains between the Santa Ynez Valley and the Pacific coast. The community is positioned near Vandenberg Space Force Base, a major military installation that occupies much of the Santa Barbara County coastline north of Point Conception. Santa Barbara County's northern coast is substantially defined by the base's presence, which limits public access to a long stretch of coastline. Vandenberg Village is primarily residential, with residents employed at the base or commuting to Lompoc and Santa Maria. The community has limited commercial services, with Lompoc providing the nearest significant retail and employment center. The surrounding terrain of coastal mountains and the Santa Ynez River drainage gives the area a natural setting. State Route 1 connects the community to Lompoc to the south.
