Golf in Blackshear

Blackshear is the county seat of Pierce County in southeast Georgia, near the northern edge of the Okefenokee Swamp. Pierce County is a rural county with agriculture and forestry as primary industries, and the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge to the south is one of the great wilderness areas of the eastern United States, encompassing roughly 400,000 acres of blackwater swamp and wetlands. Blackshear serves as the commercial and governmental center for this sparsely populated region of the Georgia Coastal Plain.
