Golf in Payette

Payette is the seat of Payette County, positioned at the confluence of the Snake and Payette rivers at the Idaho-Oregon border. The rivers converge here in canyon country that opens northward toward the Payette River's orchard-growing valley, where fruit trees thrive in a microclimate protected from the Snake River Plain's more extreme high-desert conditions. Payette County's agricultural economy includes fruit orchards, vineyards emerging in recent years, and field crops irrigated from the river system.
