Golf in Athol

1 golf course in Athol, Massachusetts.

Athol is a Worcester County mill town at the head of the Millers River valley in north-central Massachusetts, near the Quabbin Reservoir where the Millers River descends from the New Hampshire plateau. Tattersall Golf Course serves this post-industrial community in the Millers River terrain, in a town where the saw and tool manufacturing heritage has given way to a more residential and recreational economy. The Quabbin's protected watershed, the Millers River State Forest, and the north-central Massachusetts upland give golf in Athol a northern-woods character distinct from the more suburban courses to the south. One course serves a small Worcester County city in the upper Millers River corridor.
