Golf in College Park

College Park is the home of the University of Maryland, the state's flagship land-grant research university and one of the major public institutions in the Big Ten. The Paint Branch Golf Complex sits in the Paint Branch stream valley that borders the campus, providing recreational golf in a community defined almost entirely by its relationship to the university. Prince George's County's northern tier here is densely developed with student housing, research facilities, and the Federal Aviation Administration headquarters, yet Paint Branch's creek-valley setting preserves a corridor of natural open space.
