Golf in Myersville

Myersville is a Frederick County community at the foot of South Mountain where the Catoctin Mountain passes narrow the valley and the landscape becomes genuinely mountainous. Musket Ridge Golf Course occupies this dramatic foothills terrain, with elevation change that places it in a different topographic category from the valley-floor courses to the east. The Battle of South Mountain was fought on the ridge above in September 1862, just one of several Civil War engagements that made this narrow mountain corridor strategically vital.
