Golf in York

York is one of Maine's oldest incorporated towns, with a colonial history that includes Old York — a complex of 17th and 18th-century structures that represent the oldest surviving public building in the United States. The Nubble Lighthouse on Cape Neddick Point, just north of the town center, is among the most photographed lighthouses in the world. York's neighborhoods range from the historic village to the bustling beaches of York Beach and the refined resort community of York Harbor. Two full 18-hole courses serve the town: The Ledges Golf Club on elevated terrain above the York River, and York Golf and Tennis Club, founded in 1899, in the established neighborhoods near York Harbor.
