Golf in Fairfield

Fairfield occupies the Sun River valley in Teton County, where the Sun River Project's irrigation infrastructure transformed dry benchlands into productive grain country in the early twentieth century. Harvest Hills Golf Course takes its agricultural name seriously, playing through terrain that remains very much a working landscape. The Rocky Mountain Front is visible to the west, and the flat terrain allows for long views that give the course its characteristic openness. The Sun River Game Preserve just west of town is one of Montana's largest wildlife management areas, providing context for the wildlife that moves through the valley during the season.
