Golf in Great Falls

Montana's second-largest city, Great Falls sits where the Missouri River crosses the high plains on its way north from the mountains, the same falls that slowed the Lewis and Clark Expedition for weeks in 1805. Three courses — Eagle Falls Golf Club, Hickory Swing Golf Course, and Meadow Lark Country Club — give Great Falls a golf infrastructure appropriate to a city of its size and ambitions. The C.M. Russell Museum and the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center anchor the city's cultural identity, while Malmstrom Air Force Base adds a substantial military presence. The season runs roughly May through September, and the Missouri River corridor's wide-sky character is present throughout every round.
