Golf in Mount Airy

Mount Airy is the county seat of Surry County, in the NC Piedmont foothills near Virginia. The city is widely known as the hometown of Andy Griffith and the inspiration for Mayberry in The Andy Griffith Show, and Andy Griffith-related tourism is a significant draw for the community. Mount Airy is in the northern piedmont foothills near the Blue Ridge escarpment, adjacent to the Virginia border and the Pilot Mountain and Sauratown Mountains areas of Surry County.
