Golf in Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa is the Guadalupe County seat at roughly 4,600 feet along Route 66 in eastern New Mexico, a city of perhaps 3,000 that has built its identity around the Blue Hole — a natural artesian spring 80 feet in diameter, 80 feet deep, whose clarity and constant 61-degree temperature make it a nationally known diving destination. The Pecos River flows nearby. Santa Rosa Golf Course provides recreational golf for the community, operating between the high-plains east and the canyon country to the west in a setting where the highway culture of Route 66 and the natural beauty of the artesian springs coexist.
