Golf in Altamont

Altamont is a village in Albany County in the Capital Region of New York, west of Albany on the Helderberg escarpment in the elevated terrain above the Hudson and Mohawk valleys. The Helderberg Hills rise steeply west of the Albany metro, creating a distinct topographic zone of limestone uplands and farm country above the valley floor. Altamont sits near the base of this escarpment, at the junction of the Capital Region flatlands and the hill country of western Albany County. Orchard Creek Golf Club is in the Altamont area, in the varied terrain at the Helderberg foothills in western Albany County.
