Golf in Bean Station

Bean Station is a small Grainger County community between Clinch Mountain and the Cherokee Lake shoreline, in the lake and ridge country of upper East Tennessee. Cherokee Lake, impounded by TVA on the Holston River in 1941, reshaped this corridor significantly — the reservoir now defines the community's eastern flank, and the lake's recreation economy supplements the rural agricultural base that preceded it. Clinch Mountain forms the county's northern boundary, a long Appalachian ridge that funnels travel through the valley corridors. Golf in Grainger County serves a predominantly rural population spread across the lake coves and valley farmlands between Morristown to the south and Rogersville to the north.
