Golf in Bullard

Bullard is a small city in Smith County south of Tyler in the East Texas Piney Woods. The community has grown as a residential area for Tyler workers who prefer a small-town environment in the forested East Texas setting, with reasonable commuting distance to Tyler's employment base. Smith County's southern portion is in the pine and hardwood forest of the East Texas Piney Woods, with sandy soils and creek drainage typical of the region. The area south of Tyler along the US 69 corridor has developed as a residential alternative to the city proper. Jacksonville is the next city to the south in Cherokee County. One course serves the Bullard area in the pine and hardwood terrain of southern Smith County.
