Golf in Driftwood

Driftwood is a small rural community in Hays County in the Hill Country south of Austin, known for the Salt Lick BBQ restaurant that draws visitors from across central Texas for its outdoor pit barbecue. The Cedar Valley area of Hays County has a Hill Country character with limestone terrain, cedar and live oak trees, and the Onion Creek drainage cutting through the plateau. The community has attracted luxury residential development as Austin's growth has spread into the Hill Country to the south and west. Hays County is among the fastest-growing counties in Texas, and Driftwood is in the outer fringe of this growth. One course serves this Hill Country community in the limestone and cedar terrain of western Hays County.
