Golf in Lakeway

Lakeway is an incorporated city on Lake Travis in Travis County, one of the earliest resort and residential communities developed on the Highland Lakes west of Austin. The community was originally developed as a resort destination and has grown into a substantial permanent residential city in the Lake Travis corridor, with the limestone cliffs and the clear water of Lake Travis defining the landscape. The Lake Travis area has evolved into one of the primary residential growth zones for the Austin metropolitan area, and Lakeway has been at the center of that growth. Lake Travis provides boating, water sports, and fishing, and the community has developed from a seasonal resort into a year-round suburban city. Two golf courses serving the resort tradition and the permanent residential population are in the community. Two courses serve Lakeway in the limestone Hill Country terrain above Lake Travis.
