Golf in Edinburg

Edinburg is the county seat of Hidalgo County in the Rio Grande Valley, one of the four main Valley cities alongside McAllen, Mission, and Pharr. The city is home to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley campus and serves as the county seat of the most populous county in the Valley. Hidalgo County has experienced rapid population growth driven by its subtropical climate, proximity to the Mexico border, and the growth of the lower Rio Grande Valley as a metropolitan area. The flat terrain of the lower Valley at sea level has subtropical vegetation and year-round warm temperatures. Edinburg is approximately 60 miles north of the Rio Grande and 250 miles south of San Antonio. One course serves the Edinburg community in the subtropical flat terrain of Hidalgo County.
