Golf in McAllen

McAllen is one of the four main cities of the Rio Grande Valley in Hidalgo County and the largest city in the Valley, a major regional healthcare and retail destination serving both the US and Mexican sides of the border. The International Museum of Art and Science, extensive retail development along the 10th Street and Expressway corridors, and a significant medical district make McAllen a destination for the border region and the adjacent Mexican cities. The city has a substantial Winter Texan population that arrives from November through March to enjoy the subtropical climate and recreational opportunities. The flat, sea-level terrain of the lower Rio Grande Valley has palm trees, citrus groves, and subtropical vegetation. McAllen is approximately 225 miles south of San Antonio along the I-69 corridor.
