Golf in Weslaco

Weslaco is a city in Hidalgo County in the Rio Grande Valley, positioned along the US 83 Business corridor between McAllen and Harlingen in the mid-Valley area. The community has a subtropical climate and is part of the lower Rio Grande Valley's extensive urban corridor serving both the US and Mexican border communities. Weslaco is known as the City of Palms for the palm-lined streets in the community. The USDA Subtropical Agriculture Research Center in Weslaco conducts agricultural research relevant to the subtropical farming of the Rio Grande Valley. The flat terrain at sea level has the subtropical vegetation, irrigation canals, and warm year-round temperatures characteristic of the lower Valley. One course serves the Weslaco community in the flat subtropical terrain of Hidalgo County.
