Golf in Humble

Humble is a city in northeast Harris County north of Houston on US 59, with a notable connection to early Texas oil development—the Humble Oil Company, which later became part of Exxon, was started here in the early petroleum era. Today Humble serves as a suburban community in the Lake Houston area with major transportation infrastructure including the North Belt freeway complex and George Bush Intercontinental Airport nearby. The Lake Houston reservoir provides water recreation for the northeast Harris County community. The flat forested terrain of northeast Harris County transitions between the Houston coastal plain and the East Texas Piney Woods. Six courses serve the Humble community including Tour 18, the replica hole facility, and courses near the Lake Houston shoreline.
