Golf in Kingwood

Kingwood is a master-planned community in northeast Harris County along the West Fork of the San Jacinto River, developed beginning in the 1970s and known as the Livable Forest for its extensive preservation of pine and hardwood tree canopy within the residential development. The Clubs of Kingwood manages multiple courses within the community, and Kingwood's planning deliberately integrated preserved forest land with residential neighborhoods and golf. The San Jacinto River system and the adjacent Lake Houston provide water recreation access for the community. Kingwood sustained significant flood damage during Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and has undergone substantial recovery. Three courses serve the Kingwood membership.
