Golf in Lake Jackson

Lake Jackson is a city in Brazoria County on the Texas Gulf Coast, a planned community put together by Dow Chemical in the 1940s for its employees, known for distinctive street names like Circle Way, This Way, Oyster Creek Drive, and Abner Jackson Lane. The city has maintained a distinctive character from its planned origins and serves the Brazoria County petrochemical community. Dow Chemical's main Texas manufacturing complex is in adjacent Freeport, and the Lake Jackson community developed to provide residential, retail, and service infrastructure for the Dow workforce. Brazoria County's Gulf Coast location near the mouth of the Brazos River gives the community a coastal climate with high humidity and warm temperatures year-round. The Brazosport area has one of the higher concentrations of the chemical industry in the United States. One course serves Lake Jackson in the flat coastal terrain of Brazoria County.
