Golf in Wadsworth

Wadsworth is a small community in Matagorda County in the Gulf Coast prairie south of Houston, in the agricultural and petrochemical landscape of the Texas coastal plain. Matagorda County has a mix of rice farming, cattle, coastal fisheries, and petrochemical industry on the flat terrain near the Gulf of Mexico. Bay City is the county seat of Matagorda County and the main commercial center for the area. The Colorado River flows through Matagorda County before reaching the Gulf of Mexico, and the river delta area has rice farming and waterfowl hunting as notable activities. The flat, low-elevation coastal prairie has bayou drainages and the characteristic vegetation of the Texas upper coast. One course serves the Wadsworth and Bay City area in the flat coastal terrain of Matagorda County.
