Golf in Volente

Volente is a small community on the north shore of Lake Travis in Travis County, one of the small residential communities along the Highland Lakes shoreline in the limestone Hill Country terrain west of Austin. The Lake Travis reservoir is one of the Highland Lakes chain on the Colorado River, providing water recreation, boating, and fishing for the surrounding communities and the Austin area. The northwest Travis County shoreline above Lake Travis has limestone terrain with cedar and live oak in the Hill Country setting. Volente is an unincorporated community accessible from Austin via RR 2222 and RM 620, in the outer western Travis County area beyond the main Austin suburban zone. One course serves the Volente area in the limestone and cedar terrain of the north Lake Travis shoreline.
