Golf in Waller

Waller is a small city in Waller County northwest of Houston along the US 290 Freeway corridor, home to the Houston Oaks Country Club and a youth golf program facility, giving it an outsized golf presence for a small community. Waller County is in the outer northwestern Houston suburban fringe where the coastal plain transitions toward the Brazos River valley and the more forested country of the Sam Houston National Forest region. An HBCU campus in Waller County has operated since 1876 as part of the Texas A&M system.
