Golf in Windcrest

Windcrest is a small incorporated city in northeast Bexar County within the San Antonio metropolitan area, known for the Windcrest Wonderland of Lights holiday display—one of the more elaborate neighborhood holiday lighting efforts in Texas—and its proximity to Randolph Air Force Base and the I-35 corridor. The community is one of the small independent cities surrounded by northeast San Antonio, along with Terrell Hills, Alamo Heights, and others. The Windcrest area has a residential neighborhood character within the broader northeast San Antonio suburban landscape. The limestone terrain of northeast Bexar County has the flat to gently varied topography typical of this part of the San Antonio metropolitan area. Two courses serve the Windcrest area in the northeast Bexar County terrain.
