Golf in Farr West

Farr West is a small Weber County city between Ogden and Harrisville on the valley floor, named for the early Utah pioneer Lorin Farr. The community is primarily residential, part of the continuous suburban development that links Ogden's urban core to the outlying communities of northern Weber County. The flat terrain of the valley floor suits the open fairways of Remuda Golf Course, which plays on irrigated land that recalls the agricultural character the area held before suburban development reshaped the Wasatch Front's mid-tier communities. The Wasatch Range rises sharply to the east, providing a consistent visual backdrop that distinguishes this stretch of the Front from the featureless plains found at similar elevations in neighboring states.
