Golf in Provo

Provo is the seat of Utah County and home to Brigham Young University, one of the largest private universities in the United States. The city holds an identity shaped by the LDS community that BYU anchors — conservative in social character, oriented toward families and education, and tied to a heritage of pioneer settlement that runs deeper here than in the more cosmopolitan Salt Lake. Provo Canyon leads east from the city to Bridal Veil Falls and beyond to Sundance Resort in the Wasatch Range, and Utah Lake — the state's largest freshwater lake — stretches along the city's western side. Two courses serve Provo: the private Riverside Country Club on the river corridor and Timpanogos Golf Course's multi-format public facility in the south.
