Black Horse Golf Course

Black Horse Golf Course is in Seaside, a Monterey Peninsula city adjacent to Monterey and Marina. The course is part of the former Fort Ord Military Reservation, a large base that occupied the sand dunes and Monterey pine forest of the northern Peninsula before closure in 1994. The 8th Street and General Jim Moore Boulevard corridor runs through Seaside, and Monterey lies just a mile to the south along the bay. The wind-influenced coastal terrain and sandy soils are characteristic of the Peninsula golf corridor.
