Black Horse Golf Course is in Seaside, a Monterey Peninsula city adjacent to Monterey and Marina. The course is part of the former Fort Ord Military Reservation, a large base that occupied the sand dunes and Monterey pine forest of the northern Peninsula before closure in 1994.
