China Lake Golf Course

China Lake Golf Course sits at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, San Bernardino County, in the northern Mojave Desert of California. China Lake is one of the largest military installations in the United States, occupying a vast area of the Mojave Desert between the Owens Valley and the Antelope Valley. The station is the primary research, development, test, and evaluation center for US Navy air warfare systems, and Ridgecrest is the civilian city that has grown alongside the base. The terrain at China Lake is at roughly 2,200 feet of elevation in an arid high-desert basin east of the Sierra Nevada.
