Kern Valley Golf Course

Kern Valley Golf Course is in Kernville, a small community in the Kern River canyon at the southern end of the Sierra Nevada. The Kern River runs alongside the town, and Lake Isabella, a reservoir formed by the dam downstream, provides the primary water recreation anchor for the valley. Highway 178 connects the canyon to Bakersfield to the southwest, and Sequoia National Forest surrounds the mountain terrain on multiple sides. Elevations in Kernville run roughly 2,600 feet, with canyon walls rising sharply on both sides.
