Golf in Ridgecrest

Ridgecrest is a city in San Bernardino County in the Mojave Desert, in the Indian Wells Valley at roughly 2,300 feet elevation. The city is adjacent to the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, one of the Navy's largest land holdings and the primary center for naval weapons research and development. San Bernardino County's high desert communities include Ridgecrest, which functions as the main commercial center for the China Lake area. The local economy is dominated by government and defense employment at the weapons station. The Indian Wells Valley terrain is surrounded by desert mountain ranges, including the Sierra Nevada to the west and the Coso and Argus ranges to the east. US Highway 395 connects Ridgecrest to the Owens Valley to the north and to Kramer Junction and the Inland Empire to the south.
