Kern River Golf Course

Kern River Golf Course is in Bakersfield in the northeastern part of the city near the Kern River corridor. The river descends from the Sierra Nevada through the Kern Canyon before flattening across the valley floor north of downtown. Highway 178 follows the river east toward Kernville and Lake Isabella in the foothills. Agricultural fields and oil production facilities occupy much of the surrounding landscape in this part of Kern County, and Highway 99 lies a few miles to the west.
