Mace Meadows Golf Course

Mace Meadows Golf Course sits in the Buckhorn area of Calaveras County in the western Sierra Nevada foothills, in the mountain meadow terrain above the lower foothill communities of the county. Calaveras County occupies the foothill terrain between Amador County to the north and Tuolumne County to the south, part of the California Gold Country from the mid-nineteenth century mining era. The Buckhorn area is in the upper foothill zone at several thousand feet of elevation in the conifer and oak forest that characterizes the Sierra Nevada at this latitude above the valley floor communities.
