San Francisco Golf Club

San Francisco Golf Club is a private club in the southwestern corner of San Francisco, positioned near Lake Merced in the fog-influenced coastal zone of the Sunset District. The club is among the most exclusive in the Bay Area and counts among the oldest private golf clubs in California, dating to the early twentieth century. The course occupies wooded grounds in a part of the city where coastal fog and cool Pacific air create a distinctly different microclimate from the warmer eastern neighborhoods of San Francisco.
