Golf in Globe
1 golf course in Globe, Arizona.
Globe is the county seat of Gila County in the rugged mountain and canyon terrain of central Arizona along the Salt River drainage, a copper mining community in the mountains east of the Phoenix metro. Globe and the adjacent community of Miami form a twin-city mining area in the dramatic terrain of the Pinal and Dragonback Mountains, where the copper ore deposits have been mined since the late nineteenth century. The Apache Trail, a byway connecting Globe to the Phoenix metro through the Tonto National Forest and Canyon Lake corridor, provides one of the more dramatic driving routes in central Arizona. Globe's economy continues to be influenced by the copper mining industry in the surrounding mountains, though tourism and retail serving the Tonto National Forest recreation area also contribute to the local economy. One course serves the Globe community in the mountainous terrain of Gila County.
