Golf in Hayden

Hayden is a small mining community in Gila County along the San Pedro River at its confluence with the Gila River in central Arizona, in the rugged desert canyon terrain of eastern Gila County. The community's economy has been tied to the copper smelter that processes ore from the nearby copper mines, with the Hayden smelter stack a landmark in the community. The Gila River and the San Pedro River confluence near Hayden provides a dramatic riparian setting in the otherwise dry desert canyon country of central Gila County.
