Golf in Kearny

Kearny is a small community in Gila County along the Gila River in the desert and mountain terrain of central Arizona, in the copper mining and ranching country of western Gila County. The community's economy is tied to the BHP Copper mine operations in the area, with the mining industry having driven settlement in this remote part of the central Arizona mountains. Kearny is in the transition terrain between the Sonoran Desert lowlands and the higher mountain terrain of the central Arizona mining district, in the rugged country along the Gila River drainage. The community is accessible via SR 177 from the I-10 corridor near Superior, in the mountainous terrain of central Gila County. One course serves the Kearny community in the desert and canyon terrain of Gila County.
