Golf in San Manuel

San Manuel is a former copper mining community in northern Pinal County in the desert and foothill terrain northeast of Tucson, in the transition zone between the lower Sonoran Desert and the higher mountain terrain of the Pinaleno and Galiuro Mountains. The community was developed as a company town for the San Manuel copper mine, and the closure of the mine has significantly affected the community's economy and population. San Manuel is northeast of Oracle in the foothills terrain of northern Pinal County, at a higher elevation than the main Tucson Valley but lower than the mountain communities above. One course serves the San Manuel community in the desert and foothill terrain of northern Pinal County.
