Golf in Desert Center
1 golf course in Desert Center, California.
Desert Center is a very small unincorporated community in Riverside County in the Mojave Desert, east of Palm Springs along Interstate 10 in the broad open desert of the county's eastern interior. The community sits at roughly 800 feet elevation in an isolated desert setting far from the main Coachella Valley communities. Riverside County's eastern desert interior has very few communities, and Desert Center is among the most remote, functioning primarily as a rest stop along the Interstate 10 corridor. The surrounding terrain is flat desert floor with the Eagle Mountains and other desert ranges in the surrounding area. Eagle Mountain, a former Kaiser Steel facility site, is north of the community. Interstate 10 provides the only significant highway access through this portion of the county.
