Golf in Livermore

Livermore is a city in Alameda County in the Livermore Valley, east of the East Bay hills and the main Bay Area urban corridor. The city occupies a broad inland valley at roughly 500 feet elevation, where the climate is considerably warmer and drier than the bay-facing communities. Alameda County's Livermore Valley, including Livermore and Pleasanton, is a significant wine-growing area with numerous wineries producing from vineyards on the valley floor and surrounding hills. Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories are in Livermore and are among the largest employers, providing a technology and research base alongside growing residential and commercial sectors. Interstate 580 connects Livermore to the broader Bay Area and the Central Valley. The city has grown substantially in recent decades as the valley has attracted Bay Area workers.
