Golf in Granite Bay

Granite Bay is an unincorporated community in Placer County, in the Sierra Nevada foothills northeast of Sacramento near Folsom Lake. The community occupies foothill terrain at roughly 700 to 1,200 feet elevation, with Folsom Lake providing the western boundary. Placer County's western foothill communities, including Granite Bay, have grown as affluent residential areas within commuting distance of Sacramento. The community has no traditional downtown, functioning primarily as an upscale residential area with large-lot development in the foothill terrain. Lake access at Folsom Lake State Recreation Area provides recreation for residents and visitors. Roseville and Rocklin, commercial centers to the north, provide retail, healthcare, and employment for Granite Bay residents. The community is accessible from Douglas Boulevard and Auburn-Folsom Road, connecting the foothill area to the Sacramento metro area.
