Golf in Fair Oaks

Fair Oaks is an unincorporated community in Sacramento County in the American River corridor, east of Sacramento. The community occupies elevated terrain above the American River, where the bluffs and surrounding residential neighborhoods form a distinctive suburban character in the Sacramento region. Sacramento County's eastern communities along the American River developed as residential areas for Sacramento workers. The American River Parkway runs through this area and provides extensive recreation access along the river corridor. Fair Oaks is connected to Sacramento and surrounding communities via Sunrise Boulevard and Fair Oaks Boulevard, major arterials running through the county. The community has a small but active village area along with extensive residential neighborhoods. Sunrise Mall and other commercial developments in the area serve the Fair Oaks-Citrus Heights corridor.
