Golf in Rancho Santa Margarita

Rancho Santa Margarita is a city in Orange County in the south county Saddleback Valley, one of the last planned communities incorporated as a city in Orange County. The city was developed on former Santa Margarita Company ranch land in the hills and canyons east of Mission Viejo. Orange County's south county cities, including Rancho Santa Margarita, were developed as planned communities with organized village clusters, commercial centers, and recreational lakes. The city is centered on Rancho Santa Margarita Lake, a recreational lake that serves as the focal point of the community. The surrounding terrain has chaparral-covered hills and canyon areas that form a natural boundary near the Cleveland National Forest. Trabuco Canyon Road provides the main access.
