Golf in Orinda

Orinda is a city in Contra Costa County in the Lamorinda area, in the Oakland Hills between the Bay Area coast and the Contra Costa Valley. The city occupies canyon and hill terrain at roughly 1,000 feet elevation in the East Bay hills, accessible from Oakland via State Route 24 through the Caldecott Tunnel. Contra Costa County's Lamorinda communities, including Orinda, Moraga, and Lafayette, are an affluent residential zone in the hill terrain east of Oakland. The city is primarily residential with a small commercial area at the BART station. Orinda has BART service providing transit connections to Oakland and San Francisco via the Caldecott Tunnel. The surrounding terrain of oak woodland and chaparral is part of the broader East Bay Regional Park system.
