Golf in Rescue

Rescue is a small unincorporated community in El Dorado County in the Sierra Nevada foothills, northeast of Folsom. The community occupies rural foothill terrain at a moderate elevation in the western Sierra Nevada, where oak woodland and grassland cover the landscape. El Dorado County's western foothill communities near the Sacramento County line have grown as residential areas for workers commuting to Sacramento and the surrounding region. Rescue is primarily residential and agricultural, with horse properties and small farm parcels characteristic of the lower foothills. The community is accessed via local foothill roads connecting to the US Highway 50 corridor. The El Dorado Hills and Folsom areas to the south and west provide commercial services for residents. The community maintains a rural character consistent with the less developed portions of the western El Dorado County foothills.
