Golf in Cameron Park

Cameron Park is a large unincorporated community in El Dorado County, in the Sierra Nevada foothills east of Sacramento. The community occupies foothill terrain at roughly 1,500 feet elevation along US Highway 50, which serves as the main corridor connecting Sacramento to the Lake Tahoe basin. Cameron Park developed as a residential area attracting Sacramento-area workers who want a foothill setting within commuting distance of the capital region. El Dorado County's foothill communities along the Highway 50 corridor have grown substantially as Sacramento's suburban reach has extended eastward. The community has a well-developed commercial area along the highway and multiple residential neighborhoods spread across the foothill terrain. The community is positioned between the El Dorado Hills area to the west and the Shingle Springs area to the east, all part of the Highway 50 foothill residential expansion.
