Golf in Tres Pinos

Tres Pinos is a small unincorporated community in San Benito County, south of Hollister along State Route 25. The community occupies a rural section of the interior valley that characterizes San Benito County, where the Gabilan and Diablo mountain ranges flank an agricultural plain. Ranching and farming operations make up most of the land use in the surrounding territory, and Tres Pinos functions as a waypoint in the county rather than a full commercial center. Hollister provides the primary hub for services and employment in the area. State Route 25 connects Tres Pinos to Hollister to the north and continues south through the Pinnacles area toward King City in Monterey County. The community is sparsely populated, with the surrounding terrain of low hills and open farmland defining a rural character. San Benito County as a whole is among the less urbanized counties along California's Central Coast.
